If I’ve learned anything about friendship it’s that the ones worth keeping are the ones that are effortless. People think fighting for their friends means fighting to keep them, but if you have to fight to keep them then that means they have their doubts about your relationship. More often than not, questioning your friendship means that there won’t be that friendship in the future. Fighting to keep a friend is a complete waste of time. If you’re going to fight for your friends, fight to help and protect them. Show them the wrongs that they can’t see for themselves, stand up for them when their knees buckle, be understanding to the best of your ability, never be afraid to tell them the truth no matter how brutal it is, and for the love of whatever god you believe in, don’t further complicate their life.
